Workshop series on R for Beginners
This is built as beginner-friendly workshop series on coding in R, where you’ll learn to explore and use R in RStudio without anxiety or fear. The primary goal of this workshop is to build a programmatic mindset and a stong baseline knowledge that will allow you to tackle new problems, and adapt to new coding workflows, (including integrating AI coding) without losing ownership and understanding of the code itself.
Spanning from data manipulation through to basic plotting and analysis this workshop series builds slowly to lead towards student understanding not just what code does, but why it does it.
Learning Goals
Use R to solve simple tasks in your data
Understand the programmatic mindset including coding loops, logic, and basic debugging
Load in and explore data through R (particularly using tidyverse)
